IS Groundzero ONLY FOR FULL-TIME Ministry?

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF Groundzero?
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT MAKES Groundzero UNIQUE?

WHAT About housing and meals?
No. Groundzero Master's Commission is for anyone who has a relationship with Jesus Christ and desires to go deeper in their walk with Him.
One simple thing: “To know Him and make Him known.” Our desire is to create an atmosphere where you will come in and meet Jesus, grow closer to Him and become more like Him, then go out and spread the love of Christ to everyone you meet.
Groundzero is very aggressive and intense. You will constantly be on the go. Everyday you will be eating, sleeping and breathing ministry. At Groundzero, you will have every opportunity to be stretched, not only in your personal relationship with the Lord, but in your spiritual gifts, talents and abilities. Our heart is for you to develop that which God has placed inside you by experiencing various areas of ministry. You will have the opportunity to invest in the lives of teenagers, develop new dramas, be part of a worship team, create multi-media projects, design web sites, and explore other areas of ministry. Through mission trips, outreaches with inner city kids, homeless shelter ministry and reaching out to others in need, you will be able to see God at work in you. God is doing incredible things in this generation. Groundzero exists to help you build a foundation on Christ, and when you commit to follow Him with your whole heart, you will begin to experience all that He has for you.
During the 9 months at Groundzero Master's Commission, you will be staying with a host family from the church or in one of our discipleship houses. Families in the church have prayerfully considered opening their home to you during your time with us. Meals will be provided by your host family. If you are placed within a discipleship house, Groundzero will cover the cost of your meals. Groundzero will also cover meals on ministry trips.

what ministries will I be involved in?
You will be involved in a number of different ministries while at Groundzero, such as youth ministry, children's ministry, missions, and outreaches; and will have the opportunity to focus on certain ministries. Our heart is to see you develop the gifts God has given you, in the area that you feel most called to. You will be exposed to a wide range of ministries, and will have the freedom to focus on one specific area of ministry. Everyone at Groundzero will have a general schedule that they will follow – morning prayer, devotion, worship, schooling, etc. – but time will be set apart each week for you to explore the area of ministry you are most interested in. See this page for the ministries in which we are involved.
